Attributed to the Tidewater Virginia region, circa 1820-30, white pine and yellow pine secondary, dovetailed case, hinged slant lid with bread board ends and loper support, divided interior with pigeon holes, six small drawers, central prospect door with interior small drawer and divided compartments, the case with one projecting drawer over two graduated drawers all with cock beading and figured walnut, fully turned stiles, flush sides, turned feet.
42 x 42 x 20.75 in.
Top with scraping; later brasses; later hinges with patches; lid with hairline cracks to both bread-board ends; shrinkage crack to right side of case.
