From the Collection of the late Anna Packard, Long Island, New York and Wilmington, North Carolina Cynthia Packard lives and works in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She creates impressionistic figure and landscape paintings. Raised in Princeton, New Jersey, she studied sculpture and art history at the Massachusetts College of Art and moved to Provincetown in 1981, where she was tutored in drawing by Fritz Bultman.
Packard comes from an artistic lineage that includes her great-grandfather Max Bohm and her mother, Anne Packard. Her work is informed by an intuitive, material-driven process and is rooted in Provincetown’s long history as an American art colony. She is represented by Chase Young Gallery.
