Private Collection, Chapel Hill and Greensboro, North Carolina This exceptional sculpture, since its inception, has attracted admiration from various figurative sculptors, animators, and a wide array of online forums and social media platforms. Mark's own sculptural oeuvre draws upon his professional interest in character design, but also his appreciation of fine artists such as Edward McCartan (American, 1879-1947), Alphonse Maria Mucha (Czechia, 1860-1939), as well as Italian masters Michelangelo and Bernini. This fantastic piece exhibits strong similarities in composition to McCartan's well known sculpture
Diana (for reference see Metropolitan Museum, object number 23.106.1).
