Mark Newman is a world famous sculptor for the Movie Visual Effects industry, Collectibles and Fine Art worlds. He graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California in 1986 with a degree in Illustration and started work immediately sculpting and prototyping for 'Collectibles' companies, including work for clients such as Bowen Designs, Department 56, Hallmark, Sideshow Collectibles, Lenox Inc, and Lead sculptor on the collectible line "Ebony visions." Mark also has a distinguished career designing and sculpting for Special FX and video game companies, including Dreamworks, Electronic Arts, Tony McVey, and Tippett Studios. He completed commissioned works for various clients including Stanford University Sports Dept., as well as bronze fireplace facades for George Lucas and The Skywalker Ranch. Newman has been interviewed and featured in various published articles, such as CanvasRebel and Sideshow.

Mark's own sculptural oeuvre draws upon his professional interest in character design, but also his appreciation of fine artists such as Edward McCartan (American, 1879-1947), Alphonse Maria Mucha (Czechia, 1860-1939), as well as Italian masters Michelangelo and Bernini.
