Silk on cotton foundation, Iran, second half 20th century; the midnight blue field with hunting scene featuring men on horseback killing lions and tigers, surrounded by floral and avian motifs; the midnight blue border with golden brown cartouches filled with foliate and avian motifs, with multiple minor borders, label attached indicated made in Iran, fitted with hanging sleeve and comes together with decorative hanging pole.
