Vincent Mastracco was born in Rome, New York in 1941 and lived in New York City until his death in 2001. He earned his BFA and MFA from Pratt Institute and also studied at the University of Miami and New York University. Mastracco exhibited widely, participating in more than twenty five group exhibitions and nine solo shows at galleries and institutions including OK Harris Gallery in New York City, Bronson Rollins Gallery in Los Angeles, OK South Gallery in Miami, Walker Gallery in Concord, and Phillips Exeter Academy. His work was featured in museum exhibitions at the Greenville Museum of Art, the New Britain Museum of American Art, the DeCordova Museum, the Berkshire Museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum, and the Aldrich Museum, and is held in the permanent collections of the Greenville Museum of Art and the DeCordova Museum.
