Hilo Chen is a first-generation Photorealist painter best known for his highly detailed paintings of the female figure. Born in Taiwan, he moved to New York in 1968, where he became associated with the Photorealism movement. Chen was championed by the influential Louis K. Meisel Gallery, and his work is held in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and other major institutions.

Good estate condition; not examined out of the frame.
