Banff, Scotland, circa early 19th century, mahogany and pine case, arched metal face with hand-painted Scottish landscape scenes surrounding a 12-inch dial with chased and gilt hands and two subsidiary dials, operated by dual train weight-driven movement with pendulum striking on an apical bell, hinged glass front hood with two fully turned classical columns supporting a swan neck pediment with central brass eagle spire finial, arched case door with turned half columns over a molded base with carved bracket feet from the solid. Includes pendulum and two weights.

From the Estate of the late Richard & Elizabeth Fletcher, Boston and Vermont Some restoration to painted dial; case interior with old insect damage; case with a few shrinkage cracks; cracks and repair to base front molding; feet missing three blocks, the fourth is later; finial with denting and some loss.
