Doyle Cloyd is an Atlanta-based Black artist whose work is associated with the Southern African American folk and self-taught art tradition, known especially for its expressive power and spiritual intensity. Originally from Chicago, he studied at the Atlanta College of Art and the American College of Art. Doyle’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows nationwide, including the LV Gallery, Apex Museum, the National Black Arts Festival, and Douglasville Cultural Arts Center in Georgia.
