Tayeba Begum Lipi is a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, printmaking, video, and installation. Her practice addresses female marginalization and the politics of the female body, often through sculptural works that transform everyday domestic objects using materials such as safety pins and razor blades, referencing both violence against women and tools associated with childbirth.

Lipi earned an MFA from the University of Dhaka in 1993 and has participated in major international exhibitions and biennales, including the Venice Biennale, Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh, and Dhaka Art Summit. Her work has been exhibited globally and is held in numerous international museum and private collections. She is a co-founder of the Britto Arts Trust and lives and works in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
