Mid-19th century, unmarked, the first in rosewood veneers, rectangular form with inlaid mother of pearl escutcheon, opening to a red papered lid above twin lidded compartments, retaining remnants of the original tin lining (4 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 5 in.); the second in mahogany veneers, rectangular form with ring handled stepped lid and apical inlays, opening to twin lidded compartments (5 x 9 x 6 in.).
