George III Mahogany Tea Caddy

Circa 1780, oak secondary, hinged lid with brass swing handle and cove molded surround with cockbead trim, shaped brass escutcheon, raised on carved bracket feet, opening to twin lidded tea compartments flanking a lidded central well.

Lid with later paper lining to interior; some surface scratches to veneers; base panel with tight crack; replaced lock.
