Constance Coleman Richardson was an American painter associated with the American Scene movement, known for realist landscapes and genre scenes that emphasize light, space, and atmosphere. Educated at Vassar College and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, she lived and worked in Detroit for many years and painted scenes across the United States, including New England, New York, and the Great Lakes. Her work was widely exhibited and is held in several museum collections.
