The first 3 9/16 inches, with brown root supporting light gray enamel with flecks and areas of orange, with elegant form, serrations, and some gloss (especially to the back), and retaining most of its enamel; the second 3 1/2 inches, with dark brown root supporting two-toned gray enamel with pronounced flecks of orange, with strong color and contrast, and retaining some gloss and serrations, and the majority of the enamel; presented together on a sea floor concretion with wooden dowels. Found off the coast of North Carolina.
On stand approximately 4 3/8 x 6 1/4 x 5 1/4 in.
Both with typical small chips to edges and enamel; the first with worn chips to root and a small chip to the front leading to a crack in the enamel on the back; the second with one worn chip to root.
