Anthony J. Rickards was a British painter known for impressionistic landscapes, cityscapes, and figurative works in watercolor and oil. After serving in the Royal Navy during World War II, he studied at the Hornsey School of Art in London and later shifted primarily to oil painting in the 1970s. Rickards traveled widely for inspiration and exhibited at venues including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Mall Galleries. In 1992, he was elected to the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
