Harold Dearden was a British painter and draughtsman known for works in oil, watercolor, and ink wash. He trained at the Rochdale School of Art and later at the Royal College of Art in London, developing a strong academic foundation in drawing and painting.

Based in Swindon, Dearden served as head of the Swindon Art School for more than thirty years and was president of the Swindon Artists’ Society. He exhibited in London and regional galleries, and his depictions of rural life and everyday scenes remain represented in collections such as the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.
