37-1/4 in. overall with 25-1/4 in. slightly curved blade; a few very tiny nicks to the edge; the tang sports a naval arsenal stamp behind the tsuba; each side of the grip has menuki as expected. The sword's wooden scabbard is covered in shark skin that is adorned with gilt metal fittings.
