Circa 1830s, hand-painted and gilt metal, oeil-de-boeuf form case with cove molded surround featuring zodiac cartouches alternating with winged putto heads, centering a steel dial with engraved Roman chapters, signed "MALLET, H.er DU ROI, / A PARIS," set behind a convex hinged glass door, 8-days silk suspension movement with pendulum and external countwheel striking on a bell, stamped with "1827 Medaille D'Or Paris" pastille.
