Contemporary, flame mahogany center with mixed wood inlaid border and double handles, not signed.

16 1/2 x 29 3/4 in.

From the Collection of Jon and Mary Leadbetter, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Bill Anderson is the founder and operator of Edwards Mountain Woodworks, where he creates finely crafted furniture rooted in the traditions of 18th- and 19th-century woodworking. A retired research scientist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Anderson now devotes his time to the quiet, contemplative practice of handtool woodworking.

Specializing in historical techniques, he is known for traditional craftsmanship, incorporating handcut joinery and handplaned moldings into furniture that blends contemporary design with classic influences such as Shaker, Chippendale, Queen Anne, and Windsor styles.

Some natural cracking to the mahogany center.
