19th-early 20th century, the first a hollow cut portrait silhouette of a female facing right in gilt frame (6 1/2 x 5 in.); the second of a female sitter facing left, stamped with Beatrix Sherman studio mark, presented in a rectangular ebonized frame (7 x 5 5/8 in.); the third facing left in an oval frame, the wood backing ink inscribed "E.A. Coulet Patch" (5 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.), the fourth of a female facing right in round wood frame (5 x 5 in.); and the fifth facing left within an ebonized frame, the backing with later printed note presumably identifying the sitter "Mrs. Charles Coots / (Ellen J Transou)" (5 3/4 x 4 3/4 in.).

Some toning to paper; the first with some areas of repair top paper perimeter; some surface wear to frames; black backing paper likely later in most portraits with later frame backing cards.
