Circa 1760, poplar and Atlantic white cedar secondary, the elevated form featuring porringer corners, hinged top with gate-leg support, the interior with old but later red baize and eight game divots, single flush drawer with applied carved Gothic edge molding, front cabriole leg with distinctive relief carved stylized linen fold at corner above acanthus and floral carved knee, on ball and claw feet.

From the Estate of the late Cornelia "Miki" Ellis Jaeger, Cary, North Carolina Objects from this estate and collection were exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Art in the 1960's. The family has stated, they recall this pair of tables exhibited as well, but no documentation has been discovered.
The tables retain an old patina and dark surface.
Table 1: hinged and lower tops with shrinkage cracks and separation; burn mark and loss at front edge; wear and marring to top; interior playing surface is in poor condition; replaced drawer pull with associated wood patch to interior drawer front; lower lid with cut and patch at the center rear edge.
Table 2: shrinkage crack and separation to both lids; wear and marring to top surface; interior playing surface in poor condition; later pull with associated wood patch to interior drawer front; 5 x 1in. patch repair to drawer back; both tables with old one inch strip to top of gate-leg fly-rails covering the inset lift lever support.
