Attributed to Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1820-1830, mahogany veneer, white pine, poplar and deal secondary, three part form, detachable cornice with flared molding and vertically veneered frieze, two hinged upper cabinet doors with astragal mullions, louvered shelved interior, the desk featuring an applied molded top edge above three side by side small drawers above a large pull-out butler's desk featuring prospect door, four small drawers, eight valanced pigeon holes, two of the drawers with faux book spine form, above three long graduated drawers, raised on front distinctive turned beehive feet.

A nice tall vertical form and presentation featuring nicely inlaid panels to the fall front drawer.

Several areas of veneer cut, patch and repairs; panes reglazed; with two later shelves; later pulls; later leather writing surface; drawer runners and guides rebuilt.
