A Regency Inlaid Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy

England, circa 1815, unsigned, of rectangular form with canted corners, domed hinged lid with silvered ball finial, obverse with inlaid silver key escutcheon above a silvered oval plaque monogrammed "H," opens to twin lidded compartments with conforming silvered ball finial pulls, retaining much of the original tin lining, raised on four silvered ball feet.

6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 4 in.

Condition commensurate with age, some veneer panels with cracks and small chips.
