England, early 19th century, unsigned, distinctive pagoda form with tortoiseshell veneer silvered panels inlaid with metal stringing, the cove molded lid centering an inlaid silver plaque, over a rectangular body with inlaid silvered key escutcheon, canted corners with columns, opening to twin tea compartments retaining traces of their original tin lining, the lids with ball finial pulls, raised on a beveled base with four silver-plated ball feet.

5 3/4 x 7 3/4 x 4 1/2 in.

Some age appropriate veneer cracks and a few small chips primarily to base corners; upper lid with area of veneer lifting; crack to interior upper front corners (appear stable); ball feet with bleed to plating; soiling to upholstered lid interior.
