From the Collection of Mignon Durham, Asheville, North Carolina Edwina Bringle's early education was to be a radiologic technician, but when she arrived at Penland School of Craft with her sister, just as it was being founded, she began to take weaving classes, and never stopped weaving. This led her to teach fiber art at UNC Charlotte for 24 years, and to also teach at Penland, where her own weaving journey began. With her sister Cynthia, an accomplished ceramicist, she continues to be an ambassador for American craft.
