Late 19th century, dore bronze, hand-painted porcelain, enameled metal, and glass, signed "BOIN TABAURET / A PARIS / GB [cipher for Georges Boin] / 41960 13" to the underside, featuring a Classical temple monopteron with four Ionic style columns supporting an enameled dome with pierced upper gallery and floral finials, surrounded by a lobed terraced grotto with two god masks spouting water into glass, flanked by moss foam planters to the sides.

From a Private Collector, Davie County, North Carolina Established in Paris in 1873 by George Boin and Emile Taburet, Maison Boin-Taburet was known for their superb quality revivalist silver and metalwork pieces for elite clientele. They exhibited at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris where they were awarded a gold medal. The firm was renamed Boin & Henry silversmiths around 1900.
Areas of rubbing to the gilt; underside with scratches; some areas of rubbing and later paint to the dome; finial appears to be a later addition, with areas of loss and separation; degradation to foam and moss.
