Near Pair of American Mahogany Pembroke Tables

Attributed to New York, circa 1810-20, mahogany veneer, white pine and poplar secondary, single board top with rectangular drop leaves, one with a slide support and the other table with single butterfly support, each with a single drawer on reeded tapered legs with casters.

28 x 24 x 33.5 in., each leaf 11.25 in.; 28 x 21 x 34.5 in., each leaf 10.5 in.

The first with sun fading; shrinkage crack to top near drawer edge; crack and repair to top near rear right corner at rule joint edge; veneer patches and later paint to skirt edge.

The second table with scratches and wear to the top from general use; both tables with later pulls and some later glue blocks.
