This attractive weapon has a brass plaque naming owner PATRICK M. McGERTY/ CLASS OF 1985; the sword's 30 in. blade is engraved U.S.M.A. and is maker-marked on the riccasso by the German firm Solingen. The gilt cross-guard displays West Point's distinctive classical helmet device.
