Franklin Center, PA: The Franklin Library, [late 1970s and later]. (21) volumes, all 8vo; bound in gilt-decorated cloth or imitation leather, with decorative endpapers, and all edges gilt. Includes (8) titles from The Franklin Library of Mystery Masterpieces and (13) other books, mostly novels and plays, with classics such as Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina and Miguel de Cervantes's Don Quixote de la Mancha.

(2) special edition books from The Classics of Liberty Library: John Locke's Two Treatises of Government and Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France. [New York, 1992]. Both 8vo; quarter bound in genuine leather over gilt-decorated cloth-covered boards, spines gilt-lettered and decorated with raised bands, with marbled endpapers, ribbon bookmark, and all edges gilt.

Largest 9 1/4 x 6 1/4 in.; Smallest 8 1/8 x 5 3/4 in.

Light shelf wear; occasional foxing to page edges, previous owner's blind stamp to title pages, mild soiling to boards, and staining at hinges; one with slight bowing to boards; interiors generally extremely clean with only infrequent mild handling wear. Overall very good condition.
