No visible serial number (NVS), text of SPRINGFIELD 1818 with US and eagle with quiver present on flintlock lock plate, inspector marks of an encircled P, eagle head profile and V present on 10 5/8 in. barrel with brass front sight blade, numerals 1818 present on barrel near tang, inspector marks present on walnut stock, steel barrel band, side plate, trigger guard, pommel and back strap, wood ramrod.

Overall very good estate condition, steel surfaces comprehensively lack finish yet in otherwise good condition with lite evidence of surface rust and pitting, half and full cock operation is positive with solid interaction with trigger, stock shows some finish wear and scattered light and moderate blemishes throughout.
