Circa 1908, arched classical mahogany case, featuring fluted ormolu quarter columns with ormolu mounts and disc feet, Georgian style shell and line inlays, centering a 6-inch steel dial signed "Theodore B. Starr Inc." behind a hinged convex glass door with gilt bezel, operated by a dual train spring driven 8-days movement striking on a gong, the back plate marked "J.J.E. ENGLAND" [within a circle with a cross saltire], for J.J. Elliott & Sons Ltd, Clerkenwell and London, with suspension spring pendulum.
