England, third quarter 19th century, hand-painted and gilt pearlware, both soldier figures holding a flag next to a drum and a pile of cannon balls, the shorter labeled "WAR" to base and inscribed "3" to underside.

Taller 16 1/2 x 7 x 3 1/2 in.; shorter 15 x 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.

Both with small scattered scuffs to edges; taller with firing cracks visible to posterior legs, possible later paint touch up to face and hat; the shorter with scattered paint flecks, crack to left foot and drum, a few firing cracks to posterior right arm.
