1897, stem set and wind, seven jewels, grade 61, serial number 7374199, the gold case with tri-color gold foliate, avian motif, a six pointed star set with an old mine cut diamond, and a center cartouche with initials MS, the signed white dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, gold-tone filigree hands, gold and red accents, and subsidiary second dial at 6:00 hour, the movement signed and numbered, the case with inscriptions "Mrs / Wm G Schroeder" and "Mattie from Will / 12-25-97", partial maker's mark for Western Watch Case Co., numbered 31932, and stamped Warranted / 14K / U.S. Assay.
