Consalvo Carelli was an Italian landscape painter from Naples and a member of the School of Posillipo. He was trained by his father, Raffaele Carelli, and gained early recognition and went on to study and work in Rome and Paris. There, he achieved international success and exhibited at major salons. Carelli traveled widely, painting luminous scenes of Naples, Rome, and the Italian countryside, and attracted aristocratic and royal patrons across Europe. He later returned to Naples, where he remained active as both an artist and teacher.
