2015, salt-glazed stoneware with olive green-brown alkaline glaze, signed and dated "Maker / M. Jones / 2015" to the waist and "Matt /Jones" near the base, ovoid jug form with dual loop handles, featuring carved foliate and floral motifs interspersed with insects, frogs, and salamanders, between decorative rope and band borders.

Jones Pottery is owned and operated by Matt and Christine Jones in the beautiful Big Sandy Mush valley of Leicester, North Carolina (just west of Asheville in Buncombe county). Edgefield pottery traditions as well as North Carolina pottery and historic Moravian ceramics are influences on Matt's oeuvre. His pottery has been featured in Ceramics Monthly magazine.
