Donna Craven is a distinguished ceramic artist and 7th generation direct descendant of Peter Craven from Randolph County. Donna's wood-fired, salt-glazed pottery merges tradition with a unique, contemporary vision. Known for her masterfully crafted large-scale works and unique glaze patterns, Craven uses both throwing and coiling techniques to create striking forms that balance strength, simplicity, and elegance. Her pieces are celebrated for their harmonious integration of form and surface, a deliberate approach that brings each vessel to life. Since beginning her journey as a Seagrove Journeyman potter in 1996, Craven has remained deeply connected to the Seagrove tradition.
