Born in Athens, Greece, Konstantin Kakanias pursued his studies in Paris, where he immersed himself in both art and fashion before establishing himself as a contemporary illustrator and multimedia artist. He began his career contributing illustrations to some of the most prestigious publications in the world, including
French Vogue,
Vogue Italia and
Vanity Fair, while also designing fabrics for the fashion houses of Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Lacroix. His work has since been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world and celebrated in several published books. Today, Kakanias serves as a contributing editor for the
New York Times Style Magazine and continues to collaborate with an distinguished roster of luxury houses, among them Cartier, Dior, Frederic Malle, Gucci, Diane von Fürstenberg, NARS and Orlebar Brown.
