Ben Frost is a Melbourne based contemporary artist best known for his bold, irreverent Pop Art paintings that twist everyday iconography drawn from the world's biggest brands into scathing commentary on advertising, entertainment and politics. Subverting the language of mainstream media with wit and provocation, his work is at once confronting, controversial and instantly recognizable.

Over the past two decades Frost has exhibited internationally across London, New York, Sydney, Los Angeles, Toronto, Singapore, Berlin, Miami and beyond, with institutional highlights including the Brisbane Institute of Modern Art, the MCA Sydney, Urban Nation Contemporary Urban Art Museum in Berlin, and the Saatchi Gallery in London. His work has been widely covered by the BBC, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Juxtapoz, among others. Notable collaborations include a Moschino Fall/Winter Capsule Collection with Jeremy Scott launched at Milan Fashion Week, a limited edition release with Carolina Herrera for her 212 Pop! fragrance, and projects with Pearl Jam, Rossignol and J&B Whiskey.

This painting was featured in "Company of Thieves," a landmark joint exhibition between Ben Frost and DENIAL held at Detroit's Inner State Gallery in 2013. The exhibition brought together two of contemporary art's most provocative voices in a bold exploration of appropriation, presenting confronting and unflinching re-imaginings of a society in cultural and political free fall.
