Private Collection, Raleigh, North Carolina Linda Ruth Dickinson creates work that invites viewers to connect with experiences beyond the ordinary—moments that transcend everyday perception and touch the spiritual or unseen.
An Artist Member of Artspace in Raleigh for over twenty years, Dickinson has built a distinguished exhibition record across the United States. Her work has been shown at institutions including North Park College in Chicago; Meredith College; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; the Springfield Art Museum in Missouri; the Graham Center Museum in Wheaton, Illinois; the Bade Museum in Berkeley, California; the Knoxville Museum of Art in Tennessee; the David Adler Cultural Center in Libertyville, Illinois; Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois; and the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, North Carolina.
Dickinson’s work was featured in Sacred Treasures, a 1996 PBS documentary produced in Chicago exploring contemporary sacred art. Her paintings are held in numerous public and private collections, and she has received multiple regional and national honors, including the Sotheby’s Award for Outstanding Work in 1998.
