Born in Lima, Peru, Constance Pappalardo immigrated to the United States in 1964 as a young child, eventually making her way to New York City, where she studied at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. In 1986 she relocated to North Carolina, where she has since become an active and engaged member of the region's vibrant arts community, affiliating with Artspace, the Visual Art Exchange, and the Durham Art Guild.
