France, 19th century, the first woodblock with organic floral pattern formed with small metal pegs (14 3/4 x 12 x 2 1/4 in.); the second wood block carved with zig-zag pattern (18 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 2 1/4 in.), both variously marked with numbers and inscribed to verso.
Both with cracks to wood, scattered insect damage, and exposed hardware; the zig-zag block with possible old repair.
