Kyle Carpenter (NC), Studio Pottery Jar and Bowl

Asheville, North Carolina, warm sienna toned glazed pottery, both signed with potter's monogram cipher, the jar featuring four ring handles and bird finial lid, decorated in dark grass motifs to the body (14 1/2 x 10 x 10 in.), the bowl with three sculptural feet, decorated in similar swept grass motifs to the exterior (4 1/2 x 6 x 7 3/4 in.).

Kyle Carpenter has been a full time studio potter in Asheville, NC since 2002. He holds a B.F.A. in Ceramics from UNC–Asheville and exhibits his work in galleries and museums across the United States. He is a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and has his works in many private collections, including The Mint Museum of Art, in Charlotte, N.C.
