Serial number 5760 present on inside of frame and crane, text of NEW SERVICE 38 W.C.F. present on 5 1/2 in. barrel with blade front sight, illegible text along top of barrel, COLT rampant pony insignia and text COLT'S NEW SERVICE present on left side of frame behind cylinder release, exposed hammer, faux ivory grip scales, lanyard loop, plastic case, leather cavalry style leather holster embossed with US.

Overall fair estate condition, significantly frosted barrel, text along top of barrel greatly impacted by polishing prior to firearm having been reblued, pitting present on cylinder release, dings in barrel along right side of front blade from some manner of metal punch, wear to COLT insignia, sides of hammer and trigger polished, screw slot damage, grip scales loose and not fully fit to the frame, cocking action is precise and correct with zero end shake noticed, leather holster is in nearly new condition.
