France, hand-painted and gilt porcelain bowls, underside of one bowl with 1859 green Sevres whiteware mark "S. 59.," decorated in celestial blue ground with floral garland and spiral key gilt borders, and raised within a gilt brass strapwork stand.

From the Estate of the late Mr. Oscar E. Menzer, Memphis, Tennessee. Oscar was a renowned architect and Yale graduate who studied under the greats: Eero Saarinen, Philip Johnson and Louis Kahn; designing 100s of the most beautiful homes of Memphis.

Unmarked bowl with extensive repairs, the other with small chipping to the base (hidden by stand); some verdigris spotting and rubbing to gilt surfaces.
