From the Collection of Ralph Albert Blakelock's Great-Granddaughter

Eden Blakelock, grandson of the celebrated American painter Ralph Albert Blakelock, worked alongside his father as a sign painter in Catskill, New York. Influenced both by his family’s artistic legacy and the renewed enthusiasm for his grandfather’s paintings in the early twentieth century, Eden developed his own artistic practice. His natural talent led to the exhibition of his work at the 15th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists in New York in 1931.
