England, circa 1750s, unmarked, baluster stems cast in halves and brazed, seam construction with integral sockets, the taller pair with welled petal form bobeche and distinctive swirl base (9 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.), the shorter pair with round welled bobeche over an undulated sconce, and welled lobed base (7 1/8 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.). Retaining purchase receipts from 1971.
