Engraved view of Rome, with simple title cartouche at the top, filled with details such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Arch of Constantine (all numbered clearly), and with two insets identifying the monuments and landmarks framing two figures in the foreground of the city; from Braun & Hogenberg's Civitates Orbis Terrarum. Presented matted and framed.

With centerfold, as issued; a small area of wear with residue in title cartouche; two minor stains (ink?) in margins; a few subtle spots of browning and foxing; wear to frame; not examined outside the frame. A strong example of this quite comprehensive view of the city.
