Albert Mohr was born in Paris in 1918 and studied for five years at the Art Students League in New York. Although he initially worked as an illustrator, he soon turned his full attention to painting. Influenced by Marc Chagall, Mohr became known for bright impressionist scenes often featuring figures at various leisure pursuits.
