18th century, rear stile stamped with maker's insignia above the letters FON, oak secondary, grey marble top with rounded corners, single drawer over a fall front panel with leather writing surface, divided interior with six small drawers, the lower case with three paneled drawers, fluted stiles, paneled sides, turned feet.

Oscar was a renowned architect and Yale graduate who studied under the greats: Eero Saarinen, Philip Johnson and Louis Kahn; designing 100s of the most beautiful homes of Memphis. Fair, as found, estate condition; old but later marble top; insect damage; secondary woods reworked; later pulls with plug holes; upper rear stiles missing trim; insect damage; staining and fading to the surface; chipping to the feet.
