George III Inlaid Mahogany Knife Box

Circa 1800, unmarked, pine secondary, serpentine case featuring oval patera inlay to the hinged slant front lid, linear inlayed borders, and oval copper escutcheon with traces of original silver-plating, interior retaining the conforming pierced cutlery grate with banded inlays.
